I love action photography, especially capturing a moment that is too quick for the eye to see. It can be frustrating to take photos at an event. They don’t turn out the way you expect. They are too far away. They are blurry or “the moment” is too difficult to capture. And when you are taking photos, you can be so focused on capturing a picture that you miss the event.

If these frustrations sound familiar then contact me to set up a photo shoot at your event. It could be a sporting event, a recital, a day at the pool – any event you want captured in time. I will come to the event and focus on whoever you choose – even you! You are also welcome to coordinate with others and have me focus on more than one participant.

After the event, I will go through the photos and choose the best shots. Together we will choose which ones you would like to print.

About Me

I started by taking photos of my own kids at sporting events. I heard the frustrations of the other parents: they didn’t like their photos, they didn’t like that taking pictures distracted them from enjoying the game, they felt frustrated because they wanted to capture a moment but knew their camera was not the right kind for capturing a killer shot. Out of these frustrations the idea for my photography business was born.

Action photography is my passion. I love capturing a moment that is not staged – the subject is focused on doing what they do while I freeze a memory. I love experimenting with different angles and lenses. While a telephoto is my go to lens for most action photography, there are fun and unique shots to be gathered from other lenses. I especially love to experiment with a wide angle lens.

I grew up in St. Paul and currently live in Eau Claire, WI. I welcome any excuse to travel back to the Twin Cities – so if you have an event there you would like photographed I am always game!

When not photographing the action, I love to partake in sports. Hockey is my favorite sport to watch and especially to play.
